Former NFL WR Terrell Owens To Face 'Deadbeat Dad' Issue On Dr. Phil

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens will be face-to-face on Dr. Phil today with three women who contend he is behind on payments of child support according to Tom Weir of USA Today. Dr. Phil McGraw said today on CBS This Morning that the taped show didn't ambush Owens; he knew what was coming. "He says he wants to set the record straight. He wants to tell people he's not the person the media has depicted him of being," McGraw said. He then added, "I'm not sure he made a lot of progress with these women." The three women are identified only as Kimber, Monique and Melanie, and they all contend Owens is delinquent on child support payments and has little or no relationship with the kids. Owens responds that most of the $80 million he earned in the NFL was either poorly invested or squandered, and that he can't see his children because of his travel schedule and because they live in different cities, according to a press release from CBS.

So I have a hard time feeling bad for a dude that wore $1,000 shoes and $700 sunglasses. However, the amount that he probably owes monthly in child support is probably WAY more than it should be. I think this is a lose/lose. You're a douche who cares about yourself/squandered away your life and you don't see your kids because of an intense travel schedule that's really only half the year. Hmm.

 

I actually like T.O. alot. This will be interesting.

on a sidenote i watched some show on the nfl network called sounds of the game or something and they played a segment on owens and you got hear his mouth on the field and how he talked to his coaches, teammates and qb's and i'll tell the guy is butthole. worse than i even thought.

he has no money, the child support system is hecked up. He was jobless last year and is still expected to pay $44000 a month? and average of $11000 per kid per month? i get that hes made a lot of money of his career, but when hes broke shouldnt that number go down to the oh idk $250 everyone else gets lol

for $11000 a month i could raise a small army, definitely a child.

I'm not a good example. I feed Lil G mashed up grasshoppers, worms, and other "free" foods. So we spend like $200.oo a month on him.....Screwer is a beast though.....

yep. a lot of people think that guys get reputations as bad teammates unfairly through the media but usually where there's smoke, there's fire and certain guys are exactly what they are portrayed.

well, my wife and i are raising a small army (4 kids) on less than that so you've got a point.
