So How Are You Coping Through The NFL Offseason?

We have hit the final stretch of the offseason. Unfortunately, it's the longest and most painful stretch. There is absolutely NOTHING going on outside of baseball (yawn) and soccer (don't care it's the biggest sport in the world, I am a NFL fan). The itch for football is overwhelming. So what do people do to cope during these tough times for a NFL fan?

Me? I am a YouTube junkie, it's my guilty pleasure. So I almost crapped my pants when I found this:

Classic NFL games on YouTube. Kick butt. Hope that helps some of you in coping with the offseason. So any other suggestions or stories from around the campfire?

 

Even though they are horrible this year, I still follow every Phillies game. I thought the NBA playoffs were awesome. That helped.

I know the draft is a big chunk of my offseason but once that's over with there's nothing.....to this day I find it amazing that some other league hasn't capitalized on playing in the spring.

I watched the Euro, then the Olympics, and when they're over I'll be ready for the preseason

I can't get into the Olympics. I guess all those other sports just don't do it for me. No disrespect to the athletes, but I just don't care.

 

The funny thing about watching these old games, when the commentators mention "out of town scores," I instantly look to the top corner or the bottom of the screen for the score. Constantly looking for the time and score of the current game too...lol.

Now if I could find a "Steelers Channel..."

 

Try searching for "pittsburgh steelers, long" on YouTube. From there you might find users who post lots of Steelers stuff worth cfreaking out.

I've looked a little bit, but there isn't much. Look under classic NFL games, and you'll see some things, but then you run into video games and Madden. I'll keep looking.

 

I'd imagine you have to look deep...I would think once the NFL gets a hold of them...gone...

 

Yeah, I'm not sure about the legality of YouTube having full NFL games available for viewing. You might have to look at individual teams and search, for example, Pittsburgh Steelers full games, or something like that.

 

I go into hibernation until around the end of July. The six months before football season goes by a lot slower than the 6 months of football. Strange how our perception of time can change like that.

 

Some of the channels get zapped but they re-appear under different names. You have to get creative with the searches or subscribe to the channel so you can be updated if/when it changes.

When I do need a football fix I go and watch The Dome Patrol videos. Gets me wishing for that defense.
