Romo plays good in spurts. But he is not consistent. I hate fantasy football. That has ruined people's concepts on good players. I don't look at the stats. I like the eyeball test. And Romo does not pass the eyeball test. When it really counts the most he comes up short time after time. As far as Eli being on a better team, that is bullcrap. The cowboys are always picked to either win the division or make the Super Bowl. And it hasn't happen. The Giants are not in that position. Everyone wants to crown the cowboys as a great team every year and they always fail. The cowboys have good, if not great players but they suck at playing as a team. Everyone wants to be a superstar there and they will not win with that attitude. Eli took a while to grow into the qb he is now. Romo needs to take his job more seriously. He has the arm to succeed but not the killer instinct.

yeah maybe at the end since he wound up with a ring, all year long....no way.

romo actually had a great year....funny how this might not be a question had the cowboys won that week 17 game to get into the playoffs.

im not really saying one is better than the other, but no way eli was top 3 until maybe the last five games of the year. He was horrid playing talented teams that the giants went on that losing streak, well he actually had good numbers against the saints but their defense was crap and they were worried about bounty coin. But its the nature of the game to have some playoff heroics wash out regular season mediocrity

EDIT: not saying eli had a bad year, he didnt....not at all, but it wasnt like an amazing year. IMpressive for having no run game, but at the same time skewed by that too

Spoken like a true Cowboys fan. Nothing wrong with that, I wouldn't expect any less.

Look at 4th quarter stats and how many comeback wins he had.

Top 3 the entire season. You just weren't paying enough attention throughout the year. Or turned the games off before the 4th.

Romo had Bryant, Austin, Robinson, and Witten to throw to all season. And had Demarco running the rock. Kevin Kolb could succeed in that offense.

I didn't take this as a straight up 'Romo better than Manning' but have watched Eli thru the years have the same flashes of great play/bonehead play same as Romo.

Big difference is the Giants have carried Eli a ton more thru those years than the Cowboys for Romo.

Last year...late...is the first time I've felt Manning picking up his game from confidence, not circumstance.

ill admit it. Romo has better stats then Eli but Eli is a 2 time superboel winner and 2 time superbowl mvp
