Everything takes back seat to Cena. They've fallen back into panicking that Cena is their only draw and thus are going as far as sabotaging the importance of their titles to protect him after losing against The Rock. Just like when Nash, Hall and later Hart defected to WCW, WWE seem to only be able to produce true Main Eventers when they lose the faces of the company. Perhaps a long term hiatus of Cena could get them going again. CM Punk could have been the guy and had the momentum to do so, but with the Triple H/Nash sabotage of last summer and the Cena focus since, he's effectively become this generations Savage to Hogan. To quote the man himself, "Vince is a millionaire who should be a billionaire", and it's things like this that cost him.
Speaking of Cena, has anyone seen the news that's he's going through a divorce with his soon to be ex-wife? This could get really nasty!
Yeah, word is it's going to get ugly with the alleged infidelities by Cena. It's just frustrating that a company with so much money and talent seem to always drop the ball with 90% of the roster.
Just saw on TMZ that Cena and his ex-wife have amicably settled their divorce. I think that means that he cut her a check so she would go away. Has anyone seen her? He could have done a lot better, IMHO.
None of the trash in the WWE Championship match deserved to win. Cena winning and cashing it in at Raw 1k is a great way of setting up Cena/Rock for Survivor Series when he screws Cena out of the match. I also honestly wonder if Cena winning was an accident anyway. The handle just broke kind of unexpectedly.
Word is the 'E is big on champs having long reigns and they are leaning on making Cena be the first MiTB winner to not win after cashing it in.
