Bryant gets suspended you lose games and you lose money. Bottom line. If he is to be suspended you let the league do it, you sure as crap don't do it yourself

What does it matter if the league does it or the Cowboys do it? Just do something that will get through to this guy. You don't let a player put himself on a pedestal. Just because he's a millionaire, that doesn't give him the right to act like a child.

 

Because why would the Cowboys or any other team for that matter do something that is going to costs them revenue. Teams don't suspend there own players unless they are Intending to cut them like Key and TO

Maybe they want to send a message to him saying that his crap will no longer be tolerated by the team. If you mess up one more time, you're gone forever. However, since the Cowboys play the Giants in Week 1 in front of a national audience, and knowing Jerry, this probably won't happen.

 

What gets me is some of the mom hate here. Not sure if it was sarcasm but no matter how messed up your moms' life is, there is no reason to put your hands on her. Screw talent. That is just wrong.

You dont heck with your cash flow. If an NFL team suspends its own player, it pretty much means he is going to be cut. Its not the NBA or MLB where you can afford to lose a player for a couple games. Every loss is crippling and hurts your possibility of playoff revenues

people crucify dez way to fast. if you look at all his "problems" they include

Forgetting his shoes at the combine
getting kicked out of a mall for too much underwear showage
late payments to some jewelers
being at a nightclub that got too rowdy
and hitting his crack head mom with a hat

give me a freaking break, hes dumb but hes not the awful, terrible, childish person hes being made out to be. Michael Irvin SHAMES him in the legal troubles category, its laughable irvin called him out this week

 

My only beef is that yeah it's smaller things now, but he always says the same thing, "I'm remorseful" yet continues to put himself in bad situations. Who knows what his next arrest will be for.

 

This. Dez says he is remorseful, but he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again.

While his mistakes may not be of a serious nature, I'll be curious to see what the NFL office does, if anything.

 

I think all the uproar about this is really just because of how much trouble and how much news he's been in for how short he's been in the league and how this could escalate, I mean you look at every offense you listed K, and each one gets a little bit worse.

 

Yes. And, it looks like the Cowboys are stuck with him until 2015, when his contract ends. If they release him before then, they're on the hook for some serious $$$$.

 

I'm sure they have ways to get out of the contract if he continues to get in trouble with the law. Like Vick when he went to prison.
