Eagles cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie answered a few questions about his controversial hit on Byron Leftwich Thursday night Sheil Kapadia of Birds 24/7 reports. The play in question occurred at the 1:12 mark of Thursday night’s game against the Steelers. Leftwich escaped pressure, rolled to his right and tried to find a receiver. Rodgers-Cromartie, who was in coverage, came running towards him, left his feet and launched himself at Leftwich, leading with his right shoulder. It was precisely the type of play the league is trying to get rid of. Rodgers-Cromartie doesn't expect a fine and was asked if he had any regrest about the hit. “Regrets? We’re playing football, man,â€￾ Rodgers-Cromartie said. “The Bible said don’t live a life of regret.â€￾
