Darren McFadden picked up where he left off before a foot injury cut last season short by gaining 38 yards on Oakland's first three plays of the exhibition season and the Raiders went on to lose to the Dallas Cowboys 3-0 Monday night. McFadden, who missed the last nine games of 2011 with a Lisfranc injury to his right foot, opened with a 4-yard run, an 18-yard reception and a 16-yard run to delight of the Raiders fans. But Carson Palmer threw an interception to Gerald Sensabaugh on the next play for Oakland. Dan Bailey's 33-yard field goal on the opening drive of the second half for Dallas provided the only scoring. Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo was 3 of 6 passing for 30 yards, playing longer than expected for a preseason opener. Source: Associated Press
Well Cowboys o-line looked like crap, McFadden looked awesome, and that undrafted receiver out of Temple for the Raiders - Streater was hustling his butt off
If the NFL doesn't get settle the contracts with the refs it's gonna be a strange season of NFL football. At least the errors went both ways, and the inconsistency falls on both teams.
If the Raiders cut Streater, the Cowboys should pick him up ASAP. There's your #3 WR. But the Raiders wouldn't do anything that dumb, would they?
While I totally agree.. Remember all the rookies and all the injuries. I kinda would rather have these mistakes now, and work on weaknesses than look good in the preseason and get complaisant. my .02
It could have been worse. If the Raiders had SeaBass in to kick that short FG, he probably would have made it, and the game would have gone into OT.
