The Giants downgraded WR Hakeem Nicks to out, as the wideout did not make the trip to Carolina for Thursday night’s game against the Panthers. Nicks was last week’s NFC Offensive Player of the Week after he finished with 10 catches for 199 yards and one touchdown in the Giants’ win over the Buccaneers. In the spring, Nicks fractured the fifth metatarsal of his right foot during OTAs. HE had surgery and was activated from the physically-unable-to-perform list on Aug. 13. Nicks was questionable for the Giants’ first two games and was originally listed as questionable for Thursday night. Source: Pro Football Weekly
