TNAsylum: IMPACT Remains Live Through 2012 This is absolutely fantastic news for TNA fans. Originally they were to remain live from May 29-August 29(12 weeks). Spike has extended it to the end of the year. This is great news for TNA.
They have an agreement with Universal thats why they are in the impact zone. Basically it was for a fail safe for TNA. They were basically guaranteed a spot to hold their show and I believe Universal pays them a fair amount of money to do it. The good news is that they have been doing PPVs away from the Impact Zone. I think they can get away from the impact zone once they are secure in their traveling ability. TNA sells out their Britain dates very fast. There are barely any tickets left for BFG at Grand Canyon Arena which holds 5000 or so people. With 1 month left there is barely any seats and only the 35 dollar seats so all the other seats have been bought way in advance that is a good thing for TNA a very good thing. TNA house shows only get around 800-1000 so that may be the fear they have about going on the road all the time.
I have to watch it live now but i make sure I do. My wife has Glee and Greys anatomy taping at the same time as impact so I just have to watch it live which doesnt bother me that much. It is definitely worth giving TNA another shot if you can find a way to do it!
