A number of fans at Sunday’s home opener for the Washington Redskins were injured when an escalator at FedEx Field malfunctioned shortly before the end of the game, the Prince George’s Country Fire Department confirmed in a statement. It was not immediately clear what caused the malfunction, which resulted in a pileup of patrons at the landing at the bottom of the escalator. Fifteen people were evaluated for injuries and six were taken to area hospitals, though none of the injuries appeared serious, according to the statement. Steve Cohen of Arlington said he and his wife were on their way out of the stadium during the fourth quarter when the escalator sped up, then came to an abrupt halt. Source: Washington Post
well, these were the bad fans leaving the game before it was over. snyder actually had the control of this escalator and sped it up to injure all of the fair weather fans that were leaving early.
based upon a first hand account on the radio this morning: they speed up to three times normal speed and it caused people to fall recieving scrapes cuts and bruises
Ever hear about the escalator malfunction a few years back at a Diamondbacks game? People got FREAKED up, so anyone who says it can't do damage to people is straight up wrong. Actually it was on an episode of "I Survived."
