there appear to be a lot of 'stinker' games this week but this one is interesting. both teams haven't looked real good thus far in the season but we think either one or both could 'turn it on' at any time.
Not to try to offend the Steelers faithful, but their defense is just woeful and if Vick doesn't turn it over and over, the Steelers will have their hands full. What's the status of Harrison?
i don't think that will offend any steeler fans. they know their defense is not good right now. i think we're expecting them to improve at some point because history shows they will but it's just a matter of 'when'.
Their defense is 5th in the league and they are getting Harrison and Polamalu back. Mendenhall too on offense. Plus they are well rested coming off a bye week, and playing at home. This is not going to be easy for the Eagles coming off their big divisional win last week.
what 'stat' are they 5th in league? i haven't looked at their stats. all i know is that in the 2 games i've watched the steelers play, peyton and carson both shredded them.

The only reason the Steelers defense is that "good" is because their offense is leading the league in Time of Possession. It doesn't take long for the opponents to score on that defense. If the Eagles run the ball and "dink and dunk," they should have no problem at all unless the Steelers have made some major adjustments to the defense...
Tomlin sounded very positive yesterday in his interviews that Harrison, Polamalu and Mendenhall are playing. I would be surprised if Harrison is. He had some issues earlier with practicing, but maybe that's better now...
