Seahawks To Retire Hall Of Fame DT Cortez Kennedy’s Jersey

    The Seahawks announced today that Hall of Famer Cortez Kennedy will have his No.96 jersey retired at halftime of Seattle’s game on Sunday against New England.

    Kennedy also will receive his Hall of Fame ring during the ceremony, presented by Pro Football Hall of Fame president Steve Perry.

    The Seattle City Council will proclaim Oct. 14 as “Cortez Kennedy Day.â€￾

    Kennedy was inducted into this year’s class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August.
