That's why the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback walked around the team's practice facility this week holding onto a ball everywhere he went. “Just to get a feel for the pigskin,'' he said on Friday when asked about it. “Not to put too much emphasis on it, but to continuously remind myself that I need to take care of the football.†Vick has fumbled the ball eight times this season and lost five of them, including two last week against Pittsburgh. One of them came inside the Steelers' 5-yard line and was a major reason the Eagles lost. He also took some shots from his teammates, who directed some good-natured barbs his way when he showed up to a team meeting holding onto his new friend. “Everyone thought it was funny, but I didn't,'' Vick said. “That's how much I care about this team and that's how much I care about our success and winning on Sundays.
