Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III practiced fully and is expected to play Sunday against the Vikings, Coach Mike Shanahan said Friday. Griffin suffered a concussion in the third quarter of last week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Receiver Pierre Garcon was limited in practice with his foot injury and is questionable for Sunday along with cornerback Cedric Griffin (hamstring). Defensive end Barry Cofield had treatment on an injured shoulder but is probable, as is cornerback DeAngelo Hall. Ruled out are safety Brandon Meriweather (knee) and defensive end Doug Worthington (calf). Source: Washington Post
well, this game didn't have a pointspread for much of the week because we didn't know if he would be playing but with RG3 in there, the skins are a 2 point favorite.............. which makes no sense at all.
We play right into the skins hands. I don't know why everyone thinks this is a easy win for us. Redskins have a crazy pass rush so once they shut down AP we will be forced to pass and when Ponder gets pressured he becomes one of the worst QBs in the league.
eh, i think you're under-selling the vikes and over-selling the skins. the skins defense was not good to begin with and now they're dinged up. in addition, i'm certain the vikes are game planning for the skins blitzing, which in reality hasn't been as effective as you're indicating. there is nothing scary about the skins defense and if the vikes defense plays at the same level, they can contain RG3 and his offense
I hope you guys are right but I just have a weird feeling. The Vikings struggle with 3-4 defenses, and Hall is a playmaker even though everyone seems to forget that and the pass rush is still good. Rob Jackson can get home every now and then and Kerrigan is a beast, Cofield is a solid nose tackle, the LB core is above average at worst and Josh Wilson is no slouch either. I just hope the defense can at least contain RG3 which will be a hard task for our type of defense.
