The war of words has been heating up between the Jets and Dolphins running back Reggie Bush in advance of their game this weekend.

Jets coach Rex Ryan said he wants Dolphins running back Reggie Bush to apologize for his "what-goes-around-comes-around" comment from Week 3. Bush, speaking two days after the Jets' Week 3 win in Miami, intimated that cornerback Darrelle Revis deserved his season-ending knee injury.

As for Ryan's players, well, they just want Bush, period, Rich Cimini of ESPN New York reports.

"We want to knock him out, but we're out to do it legally," linebacker Aaron Maybin said.

Bush couldn't finish the first meeting because of a second-quarter knee injury. Safety LaRon Landry, who made the initial hit on the play, said Bush will be haunted by it when the teams meet again Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

"Every time he sees me, he will remember that hit," Landry said. "If I'm in the box or I'm going downhill, he'll remember that hit."

Landry has been called for three personal-foul penalties this season, but he said he's not about to change his physical style of play.

"If I get penalized, I'm not going to stop head-hunting," he said. "I'm not going to stop the way I play."

I mean I got to side with Landry on this if he still plays Safety, the Safeties job is to head hunt, make recievers fear going over the middle or going up for that pass, and that crap gets penalized now and it is bullcrap so I agree with him on that but Maybin........stfu you're a bust.

back in the old days, like in the 80's yeah. But the league is so pussified now it is not wise to state what you are going to do. Use to, your safety was the enforcer for your team against receivers. Knock their freaking rod in the dirt and they would think twice about the next catch. Now, it is defenseless receivers and bullcrap like that. Why even field a defense?

From here on out if I'm the league I just fine someone 5k anytime they talk about knocking someone out. You can talk mad crap without saying you want to hurt someone, legally or illegally. Just shut the heck up.
