An 8th of Inch is not an inch. It's 1/8 short of one.

I didn't say our or your was great. I was stating the Gmen d isn't all that. They couldn't hold a 23 point lead.

Kay sorry your O can't sack up enough to get that 1/8 of an inch since our d is horrible.

If this Talib trade worls out the pats we could be looking at the best team in football

Chicago's D has been tremendous and if they continue to base their offense around the run game and play action they are gonna be a tough out

With Peyton's play and a soft schedule the Broncos could be looking at a 1st round bye

My thoughts are that Alex Smith is showing that he is a top 10 quarterback.

if you look at the Jets, Eagles, and Cowboys remaining schedules the rest of the way, they seem very favorable. if any of these teams can start playing better, they may be able to make a playoff run.

well, at mid-season, here are who the bettors are putting their money on to win the SB:

    49ers 7 to 2
    patriots 5 to 1 (seriously?)
    texans 5 to 1
    packers 6 to 1
    giants 7 to 1
    bears 8 to 1
    falcons 8 to 1
    broncos 9 to 1
    steelers 10 to 1

I'll post up my mid-season awards:

    MVP - Matt Ryan

    Offensive Player - Adrian Peterson

    Defensive Player - JJ Watt

Rookie of the Year - Andrew Luck (I'd like to see Doug Martin win it.)

Comeback Player of the Year - Easily...Peyton Manning.

Coach of the Year - Pains me to say it, at this point...he's a better head coach than OC, Bruce Arians.

Most Surprising Player - Alfred Morris.

Most Disappointing Player - tie - Mike Vick, Cam Newton.

    Some other thoughts:

Who thought Peyton Manning would make this kind of return?

Who thought Adrian Peterson would return to his normal self after his season ending injury in 2011.

Reggie Wayne? Where'd he come from?

    Packers/Seahawks ... Still disgusting!!

Kansas City Chiefs or Jacksonville Jaguars ... Pathetic...not sure who is worse.

Best Play of the First Half - Have to go with Eli Manning to Victor Cruz to beat the Redskins with :19 seconds left.

Team that was written off early that will make the playoffs - Steelers.

I would have to say the chefs are the more pathetic team. Only because they had bigger expectations

Chiefs are more pathetic everyone knew how bad the Jaguars were. I agree with your team that was written off early.

lacanfora is reporting that reid may land in S.D. and holmgren may return to the sideline in dallas next season.

i think there may be quite a few firings after this season, some of them big name coaches.

i'm sure holmgren would not be first on the list of hc candidates for jerry .......... i would think sean payton would be #1 if he is available. reid would have to be up there too possibly ahead of holmgren.

I think Holmgren would make a better GM than HC, IMO.

Holmgren is over rated. Another "name" to put along side the Gruden, Cowher, Holmgren, Billick...blah, blah, blah rumors throughout the NFL.

Saints got written permission to start the contract dealings with Payton. He will stay.

well, after another lackluster performance, people are finally backing off the 49ers. i'm sure if they play a good game this week, they will shoot to #1 again. the texans are barely the favorite to win it all, even after a tough road win and very clearly being the most consistent and complete team in the nfl.

and who are the freaking idiots putting all this money on the patriots? i would have at least 5 teams ahead of them as favorites to win it all. their defense is once again abysmal.

    Houston Texans 4/1
    New England Patriots 9/2
    San Francisco 49ers 5/1
    Denver Broncos 5/1
    Green Bay Packers 6/1
    Atlanta Falcons 7/1
    Chicago Bears 9/1
    New York Giants 12/1
    Pittsburgh Steelers 14/1
    Baltimore Ravens 16/1

here are the current odds to win the super bowl. Denver is now the favorite and the pats are a close 2nd. i think either one of those bets are not good, considering the afc is a weak conference and their playoff teams have racked up a lot of wins against really bad teams. the seahawks have flown up the list the last few weeks but the niners are still the nfc fave.

    Denver Broncos 3/1
    New England Patriots 7/2
    San Francisco 49ers 5/1
    Atlanta Falcons 6/1
    Seattle Seahawks 6/1
    Houston Texans 7/1
    Green Bay Packers 8/1
    Washington Redskins 20/1
    Baltimore Ravens 25/1
    Dallas Cowboys 40/1
    Chicago Bears 50/1
    Cincinnati Bengals 50/1
    Indianapolis Colts 60/1
    New York Giants 80/1
    Minnesota Vikings 100/1
