Dwyane Wade donated his game salary from Friday's game against the Knicks to help in the disaster relief of Sandy.

“The money I make tonight can be left for a good cause,â€￾ Wade told USA Today. “I know a lot of people here. Knowing the things they have been through, it’s just mind-boggling. Miami is a place that is affected by hurricanes all the time, so I know how the community can be impacted by it. It’s tough.â€￾

Wade's salary for one game is $209,536.86.

Wade was critical of the NBA's decision to play Friday's game as scheduled amid the destruction of the storm.

Other priorities bro, all the resources used to make this game happen could have gone to other things. This isn't like football, games in the NBA are spaced out so tossing a game between the Heat and Knicks in between is much easier.
