Former Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden might be eyeing a return to coaching, Charlie Campbell of Walterfootball reports. Sources around him have shared that he is looking into different assistant coaches around the league and seeing what their potential availability will be after the 2012 season. Assistant coaches mentioned are fired Eagles defensive coordinator Juan Castillo and special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia. Sources have said that Gruden's return to coaching is dependent on it being a perfect situation. He isn't interested in smaller-market teams like those he has coached at previously. Gruden wants a big-market team with good ownership and some talent on the roster, thus, teams like Dallas, Philadelphia and the New York Jets could be potential landing spots if they make a change. #1 - i doubt gruden will ever win another SB. he got away from what made him successful probably because of ego. #2 - i'm not sure why he would want to come back to the headaches and stress. those t.v. jobs are primo.
He wants to go to teams with good ownership, so he wants Dallas Philly and the Jets? Excuse me but....... Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
So freaking happy we went with Harbaugh over chumpo here. Gruden might be the most overrated HC of this generation. I just hope he gets a coaching gig to get him the heck out of the booth. Id rather suffer through Dennis Miller again than any more Gruden.
You'd have to think out of those 3 teams, for a head coach, Philly would be the most attractive. Lurie is a pretty good owner, the have a great cap situation, they like to spend money, the team isn't in shambles, could probably win starting day one and the coach would probably have a say in what goes on. I don't think all of those take place with the other two options.
