New Game: Still Active Or Not ?

Let's try a new game and see if anyone likes it ..............

At any given time, there are nearly 2,000 active NFL players, when you include IR and practice squad, etc. So, do we know ALL of them? Let's see.

Here are the rules:

1) The name of an active or non-active player will be posted (only one at a time) in the thread. Another name cannot be posted until the correct answer for the previous player listed (Active NFL player or not) is posted by a GIF member or, if everyone gives up, someone posts the correct answer. The person answering the question correctly gets the first option to post the next name or they can defer to someone else.

2) If 'still active' is chosen as the answer, the GIF member must post the team he is currently playing for.

3) No cheating. To make it more fun, don't google the name. Let's see if we know these off of the top of our heads.

4) A player will be considered 'still active' if he is on an NFL roster, a team's IR/PUP, or their practice squad.

5) If it's someone on your team, that might be too easy so try not to answer unless no one else can get it.


Here are some examples of how this will work.............

If someone posts, 'Jake Plummer', the correct answer is 'Not Active'

If someone posts, 'Matt Leinart', the correct answer is 'Active-Raiders'

Vonnie Holliday, DE, drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 1st round (19th overall) of the 1998 NFL Draft.

 

Active for the Cardinals I believe.

Will Allen(from the Giants and Dolphins) picked 2001 round 1 pick 22 by the New York Giants

 

Will Allen is with the Patriots, he's on IR.

Ernie Sims, 1st rd pick 2006 - Lions

 

i would think he's still playing somewhere but i can't remember where he is.

 

Ellis Hobbs, drafted by Patriots in 2005.

 

Ernie Sims plays for the Cowboys.

 

He was an Eagle in 2010. Think he's been out of football since.

Robert Gallery, 2nd overall pick in 2004.

 

i am going to say robert gallery is 'not active' because i can't think of hearing his name for a while.

i will wait for Duke's confirmation before I post another name because i'm not sure if i'm right.

 

Gallery was on the Seahawks and is on IR i believe.

 

I thought Gallery retired and was with the Patriots when he announced it.

 

Gallery retired in August.

Kelly Gregg. NT 6th round pick 1999 by the Eagles.

 

ah, i think gregg is still playing ......... he was with the chiefs last year but i can't think of where he went this season

 

Actually Gregg isn't on any team this year.

 

I guess he would count as inactive since he isn't on a roster right cap?

 

yes, that's correct. Sweets got it right if he's not on a roster.
