Lions defensive tackle Ndamkuong Suh had a stomping incident last year on Thanksgiving Day and it appears Suh has added kicking to this year's list of extracurricular activities.

Suh kicked Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin area during the first quarter of today's game.

Houston faced 1st-and-10 on its own 26-yard line when Schaub attempted a pass to tight end Owen Daniels. Texans tackle Derek Newton took Suh to the ground near Schaub after the quarterback released his pbutt.

As Suh was on the ground, his left leg was in the air near Schaub's groin area and he kicked the quarterback in the crotch.

Looked like an accident to me but Suh won't get the benefit of doubt knowing his reputation.

eh, you can see him looking up at schaub when he starts to kick his foot directly at schaub ............. it wasn't an accident but i'm sure a lot of people will give him the benefit of the doubt because they think he's an awesome player

I don't think that was an accident he straight up aimed and fired....

When they showed the play at full speed it looked like an accident but it looked more like it was intentional in slow motion

Got greedy and put a little extra leg into it at the end, if he wouldn't have followed through it would have looked unintentional.

Just suspend Suh already. He clearly doesnt get it and has a history of being a dirty player.

What would Thanksgiving be without Suh doing something stupid?

He's an awesome athlete. To me he clearly intended to, not kick Schaub, but to give him a "quick shot" to the nuts.

How the heck can he keep doing this on national TV and NOT get punished....BUT the Saints get the most harsh punishment ever with "proof" that may or may not exist????

Eventually, the question needs to be asked is Suh worth the headaches. Guy is definitely a baller, although with his production down this year, his off-field issues, his on-field issues...the conversation might need to occur...

Wasn't his production down last year too? Maybe he's just not as good as we thought.

wow, when you start questioning his worth, Suh has probably hit rock bottom. you've always said you would gladly take him.

and, steve, i think it should be clear that everyone overrated Suh after his rookie year. everyone decided Suh was going to be the most dominant 4-3 DT for many years and he just hasn't improved at all since his rookie year and teams have adjusted to him.

i'm not sure he's even a top 10 4-3 DT in this league and if he will ever be. he's a good DT but the pedestal everyone put him on was not deserved.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still take him...lol. But as a "business," the Lions are going to have to ask that question at some point at the rate this is going.

do you think he would be as effective in 3-4?

he's obviously not a NT so then you would look at him at DE. I suppose he has the size, strength, and physical skills to adapt to the needs of that position but sometimes it doesn't work as well as we think it would work.

Edit: As i think about this a little more, I think Suh's deficiencies in stopping the run would be more glaring as a DE in a 3-4 ......... he's not a big run-stopper and this could become a big liability for any team that used him in a 3-4.

Yep, as i think it through all the way, Suh lives off of his pure physical abilities and has never worked to improve his techniques (because he doesn't think he has to). On every play in every game, the person across from him is less talented but because Suh's techniques are sub-par, he is often handled by the less talented O-lineman. This problem would be even more amplified if he were playing DE in a 3-4.

Suh needs to stay in a 4-3 to stay effective.
