Jets fan Fireman Ed, aka Ed Anzalone, apparently couldn’t take the debacle of a second quarter and left at the half, Jane McManus of ESPN New York reports. That is according to Twitter users who say they sat in his section. Anzalone’s own Twitter account was deactivated during the game as well. Not a banner night for the team, and not for an icon of a New York Jets fan either. Former nose tackle and analyst Kris Jenkins noticed. “Fireman Ed deleted his account?†Jenkins tweeted. “Wow thought he was a diehard fan? Guess he went back to the Dolphins.†Source: The Redzone
Screw him. Stand by your team good or bad you freaking "coward." lol... P-U-S-S-Y! Kitty, Kitty, Kitty!!!
Cant say Im surprised, its not like he started out as a Jets fan anyway. Fairweather fan of one team will be a fairweather fan of another.
The only way we can support our teams is by buying and promoting their games. If they produce crap, which is what the Gliders are, they don't deserve fans.
i'm with alcoholIV on this one. not saying the jets are doing all of these things, but if a team 'changes', becomes dirty, arrogant, cheaters, roiders or unlikable for some other reason, why is a fan required to continue cheering for THAT if it is against their personal beliefs and what they want to spend their hard-earned money on? now, in this case, he may just be leaving because he wants a winner but you have to admit that there is a lot to NOT like about the Jets right now in addition to the losing.
The problem I have with him is that he's a supposed diehard Jets fan. A self-proclaimed icon...fraud.
well, yes, that's true. when you're a self-proclaimed superfan, you probably should stick with them longer than the average fan.
I'll be honest and you can call me fair weather all you want but if the Eagles became a team full of a bunch of degenerates and scum bags run by a loud mouth piece of crap I'd probably stop being an Eagles fan as well. I don't mind watching through rough times but when the team you love turns into a bunch of scum, I think that's a time you can take a step back. I bet he's hoping that management will finally realize that even the most die hard of fans has had enough with the garbage that represents that organization. There's a difference between a losing team/bad times and degenerates that think they're entitled to being degenerates because they're NFL players.
The Eagles current team is not very likable for the most part. No matter who they have I will always root for them, the only thing that changes is the extent of how much my heart is in it.
I'll root for the Steelers no matter what, like Dawk said...the amount my heart is in it will vary...but I'll still be a Steelers fan.
been a Saints fan since '72. Never wore a bag, and always there to cheer them on to defeat many times. This past year I was not able to watch most of the games and it played with my emotions with my mom passing and all that. But I will always be a Saints fan until I die. Crap, if I go to another team I would have to get a whole new wardrobe. Over half my clothes are Saints related. We sucked for a long time. Hell, we sucked so bad we had two, not one but two, qbs named Billy Joe. We had the worst front office ever imagined for decades but game day I was still there. I know next year I will be getting some NFL package or something to see my Saints. Everyone loves a winner but it takes a real fan to stick with a bad team.
I wouldent be able to just pick another team because i have no attatchment to them. I remember going to philly for the first time getting a cheese steak running up the rocky steps lol. Going to training camps at lehigh every year i cant just erase those memorys and like a diffrent team. Even if i tried that it wouldent work cause my memorys and everything are all philly.
