I'm thinking about tweaking the formula a bit and putting a bit more emphasis on win/loss percentage.

 

does the formula take into account the strength of schedule/strength of opponent?

 

Yes, but that isn't the part of the formula I'm looking to tweak. I also factor in the team's win/loss percentage and I'm wondering if maybe I need to put a bit more emphasis to reward teams like Houston and Atlanta (mainly Atlanta) and it would also reign back the Patriots.

well, it all just depends on what you think is important to measure. i'm not a big margin of victory guy so it doesn't play a huge part in my formula.

 

I like the results better than the current formula but it's too soon to tell, I'll probably just include both for the rest of the season.

they look pretty good.

just my opinion, but the formula might have the Pats, Bears, and Lions a little high and the Steelers too low

 

I like them. The pats are finally playing like a top team for the most part. Last week was kinda ugly but everyones had stinkers.

Man, your formula really hates the Colts.

In my book, the Colts' record is more legit than the Falcons'.

 

the only teams' schedule that has been easier than the falcons this season is the colts ..............

they are both paper tigers.

really, out of all the teams with 8+ wins, the only ones that have had reasonably difficult schedules are the 49ers, Giants, Seahawks, and Packers.

All of the other teams with 8+ wins have piled up quite a few against patsies
