Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels could be a candidate for a head coaching position in 2013, Pro Football Talk reported. According to PFT, McDaniels is rumored to be considered a possibility in Cleveland, where current head coach Pat Shurmur is making a late push to retain the position next season. The report added that NFL Network analyst Michael Lombardi, a longtime NFL executive in various roles, would be part of a package deal to join the Browns with McDaniels. McDaniels, 36, is an Ohio native. In two seasons as head coach of the Broncos, he went 11-17 and was fired after Week 13 in 2010. PFT also mentioned McDaniels could be considered in Jacksonville, Carolina and San Diego. Source: Sporting News
why? haven't teams learned these patriots disciples are not what they're cracked up to be ..............
Well bringing in McDaniels is a good thing if they want to start over with a new QB. He'd surely trade Weeden, probably Richardson and Gordon too.
Nononononononono I mean he might be able to fix the problems they're having on offense, but I can't see giving him the keys after his last terrible attempt.
Hiring mcdaniels would be a huge mistake cause all he has shown is that he does not know his butt from a hole in the ground.on the other hand,i bet the steelers, ravens, and bengal fans here would welcome him cause that is two more wins a piece for them as long as he is coaching there!
Had easily one of the all time worst head coaching stints, absolutely obliterated the progress made on our offence by Pat Shurmur before him and currently riding Brady and Belichick's coattails in New England. If they make the same mistake that Denver did, Cleveland will continue to populate the NFL cellar.
And.....this (plus a 3 game winning streak) makes the first week I've wanted Shurmur to keep the job.
