normally, if both teams play their best game, i think the niners can contain the pats offense and give them a good battle. however, i'm not sure the niners have much motivation to play their best game and we may have a repeat of the texans game.

I don't recall ever seeing motivation aa problem for thus team. Have seen over confidence a an issue. My biggest concern is they try too hard to outsmart the pats d and hurt themselves

well, i was referring to it being late in the season and san fran having a playoff spot nearly locked up. they don't need this game desperately or anything.

I disagree, gb is breathing down their throats for that first round bye, and Seattle could still win the division

eh, 'seeds' are overrated. i don't think teams really give a crap about them anymore. it only matters getting in and being hot at the right time.

getting a bye is huge only have to win 2 games to go to the superbowl instead of 3

This. Besides, if Seattle wins out and e lose one other game w lose the division. Considering strength of schedule that is far from unlikely unless ewin this game

yes, i think we all understand how the seeds/byes work. i believe the fans of each team put more importance on the seeds/byes than the coaches/players themselves.
