Ken Whisenhunt is at it again, the Cardinals coach announced Wednesday that rookie Ryan Lindley will start Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.

Lindley relieved John Skelton during last week's 58-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Skelton rattled off four interceptions in that defeat before giving way to Lindley. The rookie has thrown five picks of his own in two starts this season.

Seeing as how Kolb is on the IR, this is probably the best move. If he screws the pooch against the Lions, ole' Ken can count on his new acquisition, Brian Hoyer. Who? Talk about a train that has derailed, headed over the cliff and getting ready to explode upon impact!
Could anybody make me a sigpic with hunters shooting down Cardinals?

I just wanted to let you all know before we go public that I'll be getting the start next week in Arizona. I'll wear a GIF sticker on my helmet.

Primary reason I like him, Steve12, is that he went undrafted in 2009 but right after the draft the 'Pats (Belichick) signed him as unrestricted free agent. Belichick does things for a reason and his track record of success taking/playing low round draftees and unrestricted free agents is better than most. The only caveat is any Cards QB is at the mercy of the worst pass protecting O-Line in the NFL.

But who knows. Maybe he'll turn into another Colin Kaepernick, except that Hoyer runs a 4.81 vs. Kaepernick's 4.53. One can only hope because he'll be competing for a spot against a trio of the finest QB's in the NFL.:rollinglaugh:

Kolb and Skelton have proven they are not NFL starting QB's. Lindley has yet to be given a real chance, but he'd better get rid of that poor decision-making in a hurry or Hoyer will be the starter. Onward!

127 I had always heard that Hoyer was the heir apparent to Brady before Mallett fell into their lap. So obviously he was doing something right. I just don't know if anyone could really succeed on that team as it is.

If you are referring to the Cards, you are 100% correct. Why do you think Manning opted for Denver over Arizona?

Looks like a genius decision on his part. Although the cards would not be this bad if he went there.
