The Colts parted ways with Peyton Manning in the offseason, then selected Andrew Luck with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and by going with Luck, the team has made it back to the playoffs.

Luck's 7-yard TD pass to Reggie Wayne with 4:08 remaining lifted Indianapolis over the Kansas City Chiefs, 20-13, and the Colts locked up a playoff spot.

Luck completed 17-of-35 passes for 205 yards for the Colts (10-5), who have won four of five and hold the fifth seed in the AFC playoffs. The Stanford product broke Cam Newton's single-season rookie passing record late in the second quarter with 23-yard pass to fellow rookie T.Y. Hilton.

Wayne caught five passes for 81 yards for Indianapolis, which plays the Texans next week to end the regular season.

I love me some Andrew Luck. I can't help but be a Colts fan living in Indy. This whole team of "nobodies" is killin' it. Gotta love them. If Andrew Luck doesn't win the ROY it would be a GIANT travesty and if Bruce Arians doesn't get coach of the year, same deal. This team is having fun and have turned it around something fierce. GO COLTS!!

eh, bah humbug. so, their team is giving effort this season after giving none last season. big deal.

i was impressed by their season earlier but now that i've thought about it and seen them beat no one other than bottom dwellers, it's actually kind of lame.

sorry for being the grinch. carry on with your good vibes.

Luck didn't impress me at all in the game. He didn't even complete 50% of his passes.

the chiefs actually dominated the colts on the field. if not for their normal boneheaded penalties and turnovers, the chiefs would have rolled the colts. the colts really are not a good team, they are just beating the worst of the worst. they've only played 2 good teams in the last 2 months and they've been dominated by both.

if they had an average schedule, they would be below .500 and out of the playoff hunt. again, though, sorry for being a buzz kill because they are a good story to many people.

they are most likely facing the ravens in their first game in the playoffs and it will be over early. the ravens will build up a 20 point halftime lead and then coast.

The colts and Broncos have beaten the fewest winning teams of all teams in the playoffs. 2 each.

yep, the broncos schedule isn't real difficult but in the case of the broncos, they have played some competitive almost .500 type teams (Pitt, N.O., S.D., Car., T.B.) where the colts are literally playing the worst of the worst in the league week after week it seems. any 'strength of schedule' you look at shows the colts having the easiest schedule in the league and the broncos are around #20.

btw, the 2nd easiest schedule this year is Cincy.

All the Colts can do is beat the team's on their schedule. They have no control over the rest of it. Even with the easy schedule this is an impressive turnaround for a team that was as bad as one can get by season's end.
