I'm notbeing picky, but the reason i voted for AP,is the fact that peyton had surgery 4 months before ap had his injury, and AP had his surgery on new year's eve last year,so to come back like he did within 6 months and be at training camp is a miracle.PM Had a more serious injury when you look at it,but AP just came back at a lightning pace! Both recoveries are amazing though,as are the performances out of both men.if there is ever a year to share this,it is this year!

    This.

AND... Peterson uses that knee every single touch. He stresses it. Peyton, while obviously needing a healthy neck to play simply because of what would happen after certain hits, didn't destroy a part of his body that he uses that makes him special (shoulder, elbow, back, etc).

um, actually his neck injury and subsequent surgeries actually affect the entire shoulder/upper arm area. i know a guy that had the exact same injury and surgeries and it took him months of rehab to just to get his strength somewhat back to where it was in his shoulder/arm.

now, having said that, a.p.and peyton i'm sure had certain 'advantages' to their speedy recoveries that most of us regular people don't have.

The nomination threads are now closed. I want to thank everyone for nominating the players, coaches, and executives they think are deserving of these awards. The response to this has been outstanding and better than I even expected.

The voting threads will be set up tomorrow night, so everyone make sure you remember to come back and vote for who you think is most deserving of each award.
