Basically this. It was a traditional by the numbers romantic drama "chick flick" with 2 dudes in the lead roles. 2 people in love that can't be together for x reason blah blah blah, it's been done, redone, and done again since the beginning of time, just this one had two rods. Romeo and Julian. As a movie there was nothing about it that really warranted award consideration though...unoriginal re-re-re-re-re-recycled storyline/plot, good jobs but nothing special in the acting department, really nice setting and cinematography. Nobody wanted to admit that though since it was ZOMG THOSE DUDES ARE HUMPING AMAZING.

Saw Resident Evil: Retribution.....and boy did it suck. A total waste of time with fight scenes that just got boring and redundant after a while. The dialogue is laughable at best (like usual) but this incarnation did nothing to really want you to see this story continue.

I dunno, saw it today and I actually caught myself nodding off twice.
Not to mention it was a 3 hour movie that leaves you with total blue balls at the end. I know it's a 3-part epic, but give us SOME reward for sitting through this movie. So the mountain is still a long journey away and guess what? A bird woke up the dragon. Wow....color me inimpressed :icon_frown:

Waaaaay too slow, IMO. Scenes that should've been 5 minutes took 30. I understand they were setting up the scene for the next two movies, but I was not satisfied with it.

Django Unchained. Was really good, IMO. Good Tarantino style fun, great performances and dialogue, awesome bloody action, even including a rod getting shot off...not every day you see that...basically everything youd expect. I liked Basterds more though.

I want to see that movie bad, I am a huge Tarantino fan. Sweets on the other hand won't even be bothered to watch it when it comes on Netflix in 2018.

I don't mind paying for a movie that SHOULD be seen in theaters, you know blockbuster type movies like Avatar, Spiderman stuff, Batman stuff...Django doesn't strike me as a Blockbuster so why spend the $20 plus snacks for a movie you can download in a month or so, it's not like I dragged him to a Twilight flick, something I would never do btw....

Saw Avatar for the very first time for "free" on Encore as it's part of Cox's ripoff "bundle". I can only imagine what it would be like in a theater.

Saw Wreck It Ralph for the second time with the little one yesterday. I dig it. If you aren't a gamer geek you probably wouldn't get most of the subtle references they have in there which really made the movie enjoyable

Well, I really dont think that a rod getting shot off will have the same impact on the small screen. Thats definitely big screen material.

Seriously though, I dont know why it wouldnt qualify for being a "theater" movie just as much as Batman or Spiderman. It has more action than either one, buckets of blood flying everywhere, big epic sets and scenery, big stars, its controversial...whats not to want to see on the big screen about it?

I Have not been to the theatre since the last lord of the rings flick because of my disability. I Just watched a screener of The life of Pi,and it was good, but it is hard to put together unless you don't miss any of it! watched FLIGHT and LAWLESS,and those are the best two movies i have seen this year!

Just one more reason I love you.
First movie I saw in 3-D, which was not fair to the other 3-D movies I've seen since. That movie was total eye candy.
