Anybody who's got the DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket package gets their NFL Redzone channel on gamedays and has gotten a chance to check out host Andrew Siciliano in action. For those who don't know, he's the funny Alfred E. Newman host from the NFL Network. He's their C list host on NFL Total Access but he's found a home on the NFL Redzone. Please tell me I am not the only one who sees the resemblance! He's made football a blast to cover this year here at GIF central. He's your remote control on gamedays and he makes Sundays kick even more butt with his hosting prowess. He's quick, he throws in quips that are hilarious, and he's usually on point naming players on the fly. He's my NFL MVP this year for the job he's done on this 8+ hour show each Sunday. It's gotten to the point where I'd almost rather watch the The Redzone than sit through another painful Titans peformance. The Titans were so bad they almost killed my love of football but I admit that Sundays have been nothing short of football heaven thanks to Andrew's work. And if you don't have the ticket and are a football nut, then really consider plopping down for the package, you won't be disappointed.
He has the biggest set of ears i have ever seen! looks like he'd get them fixed! I Bet he has a hard time staying anchored to the earth when the wind picks up!
Wacky ears or no wacky ears, he's the perfect host for the Redzone. We refer to him as Alfred E Neuman here at GIF central.
One thing that I miss that he used to say in the first couple of years, "And for you fantasy geeks...". It got too popular for him to make fun of haha.
I've seen the NFL Newtwork version and while Scott Hanson does a good job, he's just too dry compared to Siciliano. His subtle jabs here and there are hilarious.
I've been a Hanson fan since his time with Comcast Sports Philly, and he does do a good job, but Andrew is just a notch above. It would be fun to see them do it together.
DirecTV has a redzone channel of their own for NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers. Everyone else who watches the Redzone gets the one NFL Newtwork produces.
both hosts are good id lean towards siciliano as well redzone is the greatest thing to do on a sunday when your tame is playing on snf or mnf
Frankly, I don't know how I got through NFL Sundays without it. If you don't have it, check it out at a buddy's house one time. It's football goodness x100.
