Giants Eliminated Despite Blowing Out Eagles 42-7

The Giants (9-7) saw their playoff hopes end minutes after posting a 42-7 win over the Philadelphia Eagles when Chicago beat Detroit 26-24 to eliminate the defending Super Bowl champions from playoff contention.

It marks seven straight seasons the Super Bowl champion has failed to win a playoff game the following year.

The Giants came into the regular-season finale needing to beat the Eagles (4-12), have Chicago and Minnesota lose and have Dallas either lose or tie against Washington to advance to the postseason.

The Bears ended the Giants' hopes on a day Eli Manning threw a career-high five touchdown passes.

Isn't that ironic? Maybe if the Giants front office had been more concerned about their own team's affairs, they would have maybe done better.

I'm thinking of calling them the NY Tattletales or the NY Busybodies.

im just happy that were gonna see alot of giants fans jumping off there bandwagon. Its gonna be a nice quiet offseason here in the poconos. Not talking about [MENTION=1656]SeanTaylor21[/MENTION] hes been a fan before they beat the pats in the first superbowl but there is alot of these loud mouth wagon jumper where i live.

 

I'm with BITB. I didn't get 1 text from my dbag Giants fan friends today after destroying the Eagles. It'll be nice.

 

Meh this was the Giants season to lose, we started off hot, then fell off, those last 2 games against the Falcons and the Ravens really did us in, that being said winning against the Redskins definitely would've helped us out.

 

I haven't seen Chubz or the Rex Grossman apologists named Kissman all year

Well, we can't win every Superbowl.

Not only was the Giants season disappointing, but I didn't even enjoy rooting against the Eagles this year (which is my other favorite past time). They sucked so hard that the fans around here were already talking about the 2013 Phillies by November. Thanks for ruining my fun, you quitters. :icon_frown:

 

Bag on Rex all you want, but Romo proved once again last night that there's no one worse in a big game. At least Sexy Rexy took his team to a Superbowl.
