Doug Marrone has agreed to leave Syracuse and become the coach of the Buffalo Bills, league sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN on Sunday morning. Marrone replaces Chan Gailey, who was fired after going 16-32 over three seasons. Marrone has yet to sign a deal. The Bills also interviewed Oregon's Chip Kelly on Friday and former Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith on Saturday. Source: The Redzone

Awful move by the bills,i'm guessing they will be just as bad with a coach that was a 500 winner in college as they were with chan gailey.
i'm not sure if marrone will be successful or not as an nfl h.c. but this is the type of college coach to hire ............ he has extensive nfl experience PLUS has been a head coach at the college level. he has shown that he can lead a group of men but he also has been through the battles on sundays and understands how the nfl is different.
How was he a better choice over: Lovie Smith Mike McCoy Ken Whisenhunt Ray Horton This can't be considered the best move, can it?
not necessarily that i agree with marrone over these guys, but maybe the bills were thinking............ Lovie Smith - doesn't know what to do at QB? Mike McCoy - never been a head coach at any level? Ken Whisenhunt - doesn't know what to do at QB? Ray Horton - never been a head coach at any level? Marrone has been a head coach and has worked with nfl QB's and had success and maybe they were looking for both qualifications?
well, i'm not saying i agree with the bills logic........ i'm just trying to guess why they preferred marrone's resume over the others.
he can get this guy to be his quarterback coach [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjTQV6CjAPE]Volkswagen Passat Commercial: Toss - YouTube[/ame]

it is the Bills for pete's sake. who else can they get? He may increase their win total to 6 games and get a 15 year contract extension.
