Robert Griffin III's Knee, Redskins Defense Buckle In 24-14 Loss To Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks finally won a road playoff game Sunday, taking a 24-14 NFC wild-card victory over the Washington Redskins, who lost Robert Griffin III to another knee injury in the fourth quarter.

Marshawn Lynch ran for 131 yards, and Russell Wilson completed 15 of 26 passes for 187 yards and ran eight times for 67 yards for the Seahawks, who broke an eight-game postseason losing streak away from home.

Lynch's 27-yard run with 7:08 remaining gave the Seahawks (12-5) the lead and on Washington's next series, Griffin reinjured the right knee he sprained about a month ago while trying to field a bad shotgun snap.

The knee buckled badly, and the Seahawks recovered the fumble and kicked an insurance field goal.

Kirk Cousins replaced Griffin, but Washington (10-7) was unable to come back.

well, no doubt the nfc match-ups next weekend appear to be the most intriguing.

all 4 vegas favorites won outright and covered the pointspreads this weekend so there wasn't an upset but maybe next week.

I thought he broke something when RG3 went down. I said it before the season even started. Shanny is going to ruin RG3. Dude shouldn't have been in there the 2nd half with a more than capable back up waiting.

Dude was in for 3 minutes and just had to chuck the ball because they were 10 points back. Put him in with a 14 point lead and Alfred Morris running and those passes look a whole lot prettier.

With all this though, does Russell Wilson suddenly become the OROY favorite?

 

Shanny had his head up his butt yesterday,so i guess that is why he did not remove rg3! and he can say all he wants about not knowing rg3 was hurt when the whole freaking world saw him limping after that late hit cheap shot by bruce irvin! should have let cousins go in and keep feeding the ball to morris!
