ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is looking to make more changes regarding the team’s coaching staff, via Pro Football Talk. Having already fired DC Rob Ryan and replaced him with Monte Kiffin, Mortensen mentions that Jones is now considering removing Jason Garrett‘s play-calling duties and possibly firing tight end coach John Garrett, who just happens to be his brother. Garrett has come under scrutiny for his play-calling and poor clock management, so isn’t exactly a huge surprise to see Jones consider some changes. John Garret has reportedly been calling teams around regarding potential coaching jobs, so he appears to be on the way out. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk speculates that there’s a chance that Jones could look to replace Garrett with ESPN analyst Jon Gruden at some point if things don’t work or if Garrett is unwilling to make some of these changes. although i don't agree with the change already made, forcing garrett out of his comfort zone and making him step the heck up is probably a good move.
Me neither But it dies looks like he's making it a gruden team which I really don't dig at this point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just don't understand how Garrett is expected to be 'the guy' when his balls are cut off from above.
I think he was and had the ability to be the guy buy has made too many mistakes in 2.5 yrs as HC and more as coordinator. I think that JJ doesn't have as mush say as he says or portrays but gets involved when his expectations aren't met. Dallas fans and the owner don't believe in rebuilding. We want to win always. No. This team should be able to win 11 games next year considering what they did this year after losing the entire middle.if the defense twice over and Ware playing one armed half the year. Personally I thought DC didn't need to change, but I'll Jones credit for upgrading. What needed to change was the playcalling Sent from my HTC Vivid
and he has probably been with the cowboys organization at least twenty years as a coach and player too has'nt he? and when wade phillips was head coach, was'nt garrett the oc?
