He could have ran for 300 against the packers saturday, and not have broken a sweat. he faked clay matthews out of his jock all night. packers have a decent front 7,that is what surprised me about CK getting 180 yards rushing.

i agree to an extent. the hawks are a solid team and the falcons played a good game. however, the hawks stepped all over their cranks and slept-walked through the first half, and handed the falcons a huge lead. then, when the hawks finally woke up, they absolutely destroyed the falcons.

so, i think there is some concern since the niners are a very similar team to the hawks that if the 49ers play all 4 quarters, the whole game could look like the 2nd half of the hawks game (a complete ass-kicking).

in addition, i have some concerns about where the falcons are mentally. do they already feel like the season is a success since they got the monkey off their back? is the motivation really there to win it all?

there are a lot of signs that are pointing to a 49ers blowout here. i'm hoping for a good game so hopefully the 49ers will sleep-walk through the 1st half like the hawks did to make it interesting.

what i saw on sunday could have been this soo called sleeping seahawk team

    i dont buy it

the falcons ran the ball better and got up early

    asskicking im not so sure
    the falcons played coverage
the seahwaks scored 21 4th quarter points and the flacons played just like any team would they made them go the distance and made them make the plays on defense to put them in position to win

it just so happens the seahawks did make those plays
and if the 4th quarter was 30 seconds shorter there would be a game in san fran next week

questioning an nfl teams motivation on winning it all is crazy
these guys dont work as hard as they do for nothing granted its all about the paycheck but imo no nfl player especially the falcons lack motivation to go to the big game

im not counting the falcons out yet

The Falcons ran the ball, yes. But I was thinking about the effects of having to travel so much working against the Seahawks last week. They had to fly to D.C., then back to Seattle, then back out to Atlanta within a week. That's really taxing on their bodies. I had to travel nationally for work for a year, and it always screwed up my sleep going to the east coast. So I think there is something to them starting out slow in the game.

well, let me clarify. i'm not counting out the falcons either. i'm just making a few comments based upon my observations. your view on things may be correct and my perception of things may be way off-base.

however, i truly believe i saw a seahawks team that was extremely flat in the 1st half of that game and there have been many teams through the ages that have 'let downs' after hitting an emotional peak, and the falcons most certainly appeared extremely emotional after that game.

anyone think the crabtree thing will be a major distraction that will affect the game?

It definitely has the potential to be, depending on whether or not Crabtree can put it out of his mind for the game and if not, how much he lets it affect him. Obviously he's Kaeps main guy, and they have some crazy chemistry on the field that's been the driving force for the pass O down the stretch. If Crabs is distracted to a degree that its affecting his focus and timing enough to throw that sync out of whack even a little, it could have a HUGE effect. We don't know how well Kaep might deal with the adversity of not being able to rely on him being where hes supposed to be and making the catches he's supposed to make, but its definitely the kind of thing that could fluster a young QB that doesnt have the same rapport with the rest of his receivers, and cause major problems.

Or, he puts it aside for the day and its a non-issue. Or, he doesn't, and Kaep adjusts. Or, the Georgia Dome collapses. No telling for sure until tomorrow, but yeah, I'd say there's some potential for problems.

i hate it when outside drama crap like this pops up. i don't like this kind of stuff affecting the game itself.

I feel the 49ers o-line is going to control this game up front. The Falcons also weren't the same once John Abraham left last week and who knows how long he'll hold up.

Rooting for the Niners in this one. Sorry Matty Ice but I think Kaepernick will outplay you and the Falcons defense won't do a good job tomorrow. I could be 100% wrong but that's how I think tomorrow will go.

I tend to agree with all of this. The only reason i'm second guessing is that Krappernuts is due for a stinker, right? He cant always play that great.. Right?

Hey well Kaepernick is riding some kind of hot streak so maybe it will propel the Niners to the SB and maybe a win there. I'm looking forward to this game tomorrow more than the other game because I think this game will be more back and forth and be more exciting. I don't know for sure but should be a good day of football tomorrow.

Also if the Niners win than any decision Jim Harbaugh makes from then on out should not be doubted because the kind of guts it took to go with CK over AS is the kind that makes or breaks a season or a franchise and so far it has worked out well for the Niners obviously.
