The Browns today named longtime NFL head coach Norv Turner as their offensive coordinator and added five other assistants to new coach Rob Chudzinski's staff, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. The ability to bring Turner along as coordinator was one of the big selling points for the first-time head coach, who was hired last Thursday. The other five are Brad Roll (Strength & Conditioning), Mike Sullivan (Offensive Line) and Scott Turner (Wide Receivers), who is Norv Turner's son. In addition, Chris Tabor (Special Teams Coordinator) and George Warhop (Offensive Line) will be retained from last year’s staff. Source: The Redzone
Norv at OC is the closest thing to fail safe as there is in the NFL Gotta give the old timers like him, Wade Phillips and twinky Lebeau credit. It's not easy to stay relevent in the NFL for 25 years as a playcaller Sent from my HTC Vivid
even if turner can only get the browns offense up to an 'average' level, which would be pretty good, i believe the browns have some decent talent on the other side of the ball and if horton can get the defense playing at an elite level, the browns could become respectable.
