49ers FS Dashon Goldson Wants $8M Per Year

The San Francisco 49ers are not expected to put the franchise tag on safety Dashon Goldson.

After testing the free agent market in 2011, Goldson was franchised last year by the 49ers at $6.2 million.

One NFL team official told Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he's seeking $8 million per year.

probably not worth quite that much. $6 mill is probably the fair number.

 

I like Goldson, but I don't know that paying him $8 mil per is the wisest move. Safety class is pretty deep this year...

 

He was reportedly offered 7mil/year, but they've been at that stalemate for over a year now. He did say he is still hopefull to work something out long term in SF. Hopefully...

 

If were paying 8 million a year on a safety, his name better be William Moore.

We weren't even interested when he signed for 2 million a year. Definitely not gonna be interested at 8 million
