Dolphins Will Make WR Mike Wallace Their Top Free Agent Target

The Miami Dolphins biggest free-agent target is Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace, Jeff Darlington of NFL Network and NFL.com reports.

The Dolphins covet Wallace because of his ability to make plays in the end zone, recognizing their high reliance on field goals in close games last season. They covet his speed, which would add a dynamic that was missing on a team without a player who could force defenses to respect the deep ball.

Doing a little math -- and the Dolphins have done that math -- should be enough to forewarn anyone who doesn't think Wallace is about to get a contract that will exceed the deals given to both Vincent Jackson and Dwayne Bowe. That's especially true considering that the Dolphins anticipate competing with the Minnesota Vikings in bidding for Wallace's services.

this makes more sense as a destination than some of the other locations i've heard mentioned for wallace (k.c., minny). tannehill doesn't have the strongest arm in the world but it's a helluva lot better than ponder or alex smith.

Tannehill may not have the arm of say Flacco or Cutler, but he isn't far behind either of them. He can make all the throws a QB needs to make.

actually, i think his arm strength is very similar to flacco. tannehill is still very young and he will gain a little more strength as his career goes along.
