Eagles Will Not Release CB Nnamdi Asomugha On Wednesday

The Eagles will not release cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on Wednesday, SportsRadio WIP’s Howard Eskin reported.

Eskin originally reported that Asomugha would be released by the Eagles Wednesday.

Asomugha, who signed a four-year, $60 million deal before the 2011 season was set to make $15 million for the 2013 season. The Eagles, if they release him, will owe him $4 million, regardless of whether he signs with another team.

I do think Nnamdi will be cut though, or perhaps traded. I'd trade him and the 4 pick for 3 other late round picks. Enough "garbage' picks available in the draft to get that done. You don't need a 4th round pick for a lineman(o or d) or DB's.
