The Eagles will not release cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on Wednesday, SportsRadio WIP’s Howard Eskin reported. Eskin originally reported that Asomugha would be released by the Eagles Wednesday. Asomugha, who signed a four-year, $60 million deal before the 2011 season was set to make $15 million for the 2013 season. The Eagles, if they release him, will owe him $4 million, regardless of whether he signs with another team. Source: The Redzone
What's that? Howard Eskin reported an unsubstantiated report as facts? GET THE FREAK OUT OF HERE!! I do think Nnamdi will be cut though, or perhaps traded. I'd trade him and the 4 pick for 3 other late round picks. Enough "garbage' picks available in the draft to get that done. You don't need a 4th round pick for a lineman(o or d) or DB's.
Damn...I thought at first you were asking for one their linebackers. That would have been a no-brainer.
