Rams WR Danny Amendola Might Be Hitting Free-Agent Market

At this point, it looks like St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola is heading to free agency, sources said Thursday.

The Rams have their value for the unrestriced free agent, but we'll see if he beats it in free agency.

On Amendola, I see a market of at least five teams, including the San Francisco 49ers -- Amendola killed them and it takes away a NFC West rival's main weapon -- and the New England Patriots if Wes Welker isn't re-signed.

Another guy with big question marks about his health. I don't think he's going to end up with a deal he might think he's going to land.

well, word is that gibson, amendola, and steven jackson are all out of st. louis.

i'm a little surprised that a team would let their top 3 non-qb offensive players walk in the same off-season. i'm sure they could replace 1, or maybe even 2, but 3 ?

Let's be honest here...we aren't talking Irvin, Harper, Smith...

and that's a valid point ............ just because they're starters/statistical leaders doesn't mean they aren't replaceable and can actually be improved upon fairly quickly.

I'm actually surprised that Amendola and Gibson are getting as much "attention" as they are. Guess it shows just how far the news in the NFL has come nowadays...

Amendola hasn't been the most durable player on the field either. I'd consider him as a slot #3 but nothing more.

He's white. New England must be interested. He's the next Wes Welker.

I don't want another Welker. I want someone who doesn't forget how to catch when the game is on the line.

    You don't want Wallace then.
