The escape from Baltimore continues as Ravens linebacker Dannell Ellerbe on Tuesday agreed to terms with the Miami Dolphins, according to NFL.com's Albert Breer.

This is a huge blow for the Ravens, they traded Anquan Boldin in large part because Baltimore wanted to lock up younger guys like Ellerbe. Breer reported Ellerbe was the team's top priority, the two sides negotiated all morning, but the Ravens clearly couldn't match Miami's cash -- and salary cap space.

Ellerbe can do a little bit of everything, e can rush the passer, stop the run, and cover receivers. He's the type of player you want to invest in.

    diesel HERE COMES THE BOOM!!!

Ravens are falling apart and I love it!!!Flacco looks like a total butthole because wanted the big money first before wanting to help keep a team together that HELPED him win the ring...

Flacco's cap number next year is less than 7 mil. Miami is just on a spending binge and it will probably work out about like the Eagles "dream team" of free agents.

How so? The Dolphins only signed Wallace as a "new" position of need. Ellerbe and Wheeler are saving the Dolphins around 5 million over Dansby and Burnett.

We just dont overpay often, especially for non key positions, funny thing is despite all this "Flacco should have took less" talk we are still 9 million under the cap as we speak. Oz will make a couple more bargain signings like Canty and have a good draft in which we have 12 picks and we will continue to be in the mix. You'll see a much faster and more athletic defense when it's all said and done, that's what im hearing the focus is.

Oh, im also very thankful for the 3rd or 4th round compensatory picks we'll get for Ellerbe and Kruger next year, probably a 5th for Williams :-)
