The Detroit Lions targeted Reggie Bush to be a dynamic addition to their offense, but coach Jim Schwartz said today Bush also could fill a major hole on special teams,Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. “Yeah,†Schwartz said when asked about the possibility of using Bush as a punt or kick returner. “I’m not a man of few words, but yes (that’s possible).†Bush has never been a primary kick returner in the NFL, and he hasn’t returned punts with any regularity since his days with the New Orleans Saints. But he scored three touchdowns on 20 punt returns in 2008 and has averaged 7.9 yards per return for his career. Schwartz said Bush has the ability to excite a crowd by scoring points anytime he touches the ball. “He can change field position,†Schwartz said. “(How we use him will) shake out over the course of off-season and training camp and preseason games, but he’s certainly a guy that you want touching the football, and any way we can get him touching the football is going to be good for the Lions.†Source: The Redzone
Ya I've seen it. He's their best at this point, so why in the heck would they make him their PR/KR too?
Duh lol I was actually trying to allude to that too. Today has been a rough day for posting for me :icon_redface:
