The differences between the New York Jets and Darrelle Revis always have been about money. It doesn't sound like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would have that barrier if they manage to land the star cornerback in a trade. Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reported Wednesday that Revis would get an average annual salary between $12 million and $13 million from the Buccaneers in a long-term contract. Sources told Mehta that Revis would agree to a contract "without much trouble." It's been reported that Revis' agents haven't been granted permission to negotiate a trade with the Bucs, which makes you wonder how financial groundwork could be laid for an extension. Revis would agree to the contract without much trouble...it's the following year and every year after that you'd have to deal with the whining...lol.
talk about a team trying to sure up its secondary. Revis, Barron, Goldson, and possibly even trufant/rhodes
Well, at least the bucs are trying to spend some money. There for a while they weren't spending a whole lot.
I'm not saying they are, but it seems just about every article is painting a picture that their offer increases in dollars or draft pick, then its that they're getting tired of dealing with the Jets, then they up the offer again etc
