Browns QB Colt McCoy Expected To Be Released Or Traded Soon

If the signing of Jason Campbell is potential bad news for Brandon Weeden as the starter in Cleveland, the acquisition appears to be an even worse situation for Colt McCoy.

Per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Browns are expected to soon trade or release McCoy, who was their primary starter before Weeden was given the job at the beginning of last season.

But the news isn't all bad for McCoy. If the Browns can't find a taker, or he has trouble landing on another team, he can always do like Vince Young did yesterday and just show up at next year's Texas pro day.

McCoy isn't a bad QB. In the right system he can be good. I wouldn't be apposed to Dallas grabbing him and grooming him for a few years. To bad we don't have any cap room.

 

Does Chicago have a backup now? Maybe that's a landing spot for him.

 

I'd take him.

 

Then the Browns would snap Orton up in a hot second. Orton >>>>>>>>>>>>McCoy.

Orton is a pretty solid #2 qb. probably one of the better back-ups in the league. as far as mcccoy, it's hard to say what he really is. he was up and down in cleveland but it would be hard for anyone to succeed in that environment.

 

If take McCoy as a back up, but If take Orton before he or Gradkowski.
