Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne is eager to compete with Blaine Gabbert for the starting job, but will either hold the position in September? Coach Gus Bradley publicly has supported Gabbert, but also stresses competition at every position -- that's all Henne wants. "Sure, this is a great opportunity," Henne told The Florida Times-Union in a story published Thursday. "You've seen all the moves with quarterbacks going all over the league and this is one of those opportunities. There's a starting job open and let the best man win. I'm just going to give it my all. "I'm still young. I'm only 27 years old in my sixth season. Aaron Rodgers started when he was five years in. I'm only a year behind right now. I'm a competitor. I'm going to compete." Source: NFL.com
Now now Chad, let's not compare yourself to Aaron Rodgers, that's just......I can't even think of a word that describes it accurately, preposterous, baffling....
the scary part for the jags is right now henne IS the best qb on their roster. obviously gabbert may not be done developing so they may have to give him 1 more year (things don't start clicking for a lot of qb's until they have 30 starts or so)
Henne... lol,lol.... Jags are better off letting TEBOW compete.. sell LOTS and LOTS of tickets... hey " Maybe " TEBOW ' S passing game has improved... " MAYBE " ..lol,lol..
