Anthony Davis won't stop bashing Greg Schiano, it seems. He got a new contract yesterday and promptly took a swipe at his old college head coach on Twitter. And now, he took another swipe, claiming that Greg Schiano didn't do anything to help him in college, and instead praising then offensive line coach and current Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood. Here's what he told Rick Serritella of the NFL Draft Bible: "Schiano didn't do crap, but make that the longest three years of my life. Schiano breaks your confidence down ... That's his idea of molding the guys. breaking the confidence down. But really, without confidence you've got crapty players. I feel like what he's doing I thought it was cuz I was young and I just didn't appreciate what he was doing. But now that I'm older, I'm realizing his plan is not working. And I think he's going to start finding that out soon enough." Source: SBNation.com
agreed. dude has been in the nfl for quite a few years now and just got a big veteran contract. surprised he's holding a grudge this long.
I like that Schiano got so into this guy's head years after he left he is still trying to impress him.
3 years, and he's only 23. Tell me when you were 23 you always made good decisions and never held a grudge longer than you should against someone you despise..
i guess you're right. i'm 43, despise you, and will always hold a grudge against you. point well taken.
It certainly was interesting timing. Not sure why he decided to speak up about it now. Was there something Schiano said recently in the news about AD?
Schiano called a lazy player out. He got so pissed about it he worked hard to prove Sciano wrong. The moment he has "proof" he has to make a statement to the press. Schiano set up camp in that dude's head and apparently he isn't planning on leaving any time soon.
You don't carry a grudge like this unless someone got to you. One article said Schiano got onto him about being 350+ pounds as a freshman. Seems like Davis took motivation without knowing it. Now that that motivation worked Davis can't see how it helped.
In principle dont see anything wrong here.. Davis used that as fuel to his fire to attain his goals. Should have kept it to himself though. Some people use past mistakes, a fat picture from 5 years ago, hatred toward a parent or past bullies to overcome obstacles every day.
