The New York Jets have agreed in principle to trade star cornerback Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per Yahoo Sports.

Per the report, the Jets could receive undisclosed draft picks, and Revis has agreed to a long-term extension with the Bucs that would make him one of the NFL's highest-paid non-quarterbacks.

Revis headed to Tampa Sunday morning aboard a private jet to take a physical for the Buccaneers, who already have access to the results of his April 5 MRI.

1st 3rd n 5th? That would be Niiiiiice. Then flip their own 5th for Ivory n we have the start of something good.

I really REALLY hope that Teblow is part of the package. I hope he turns into a good peanut vendor. Wish him the best...at throwing peanuts.

...and i fade back to black.

First story updated, looks like Revis has agreed to an extension and the Bucs and Jets have agreed on compensation. The physical is the only thing holding this up from being final.

Deal with Bucs is apparently for 6-Years, $96M - Broken down to be literally $16M per year. No guaranteed money.
$3 million roster bonus and $13 million in base salary in each year from 2013-18...

Ha, Jets get weaker for nearly nothing.

Plus - Jets take a $12 million dead-money cap for trading him. Keeping Revis would've been $9 million.

a first rounder this year and a mid-rounder next year is nothing?

it's not the ridiculous amount they were asking for but still pretty decent for an injured cornerback............

This isn't the draft for first round picks. There is soooo much average talent in the first round outside of a few positions.
