Nate Montana showed enough in the local pro day for the San Francisco 49ers to get an invite to rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The son of 49ers legend Joe Montana will get a shot to show what he can do and compete for a contract as an undrafted free agent, a long shot. Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reported the news. Nate Montana started his college career at Notre Dame, following the path of his father, and eventually wound up at West Virginia Wesleyan, a Division II school where he passed for 2,480 yards and 19 touchdowns last season.
