Free Agent QB Tim Tebow’s Former Coach Calls Out NFL

it's not like these are aberrations, this is his normal throws for his 40% completion. he really is that freaking awful. the throw to demaryius against the steelers?? THAT was the aberration

I remember someone comparing him to Steve Young when he first came into the league and needed to have his throwing motion altered to become the great QB he became. I don't know that Steve's motion and accuracy was as bad as Tebow's, or if Tebow has the ability to become a good passer. The question I have is whether Tebow would be "willing" to change position? He always comes across as a team-first guy, but there isn't any evidence that he'd be open to play other positions. He may be holding himself back in that regard. But as was said earlier, athletes come and go in this league all the time. I'm still of the opinion that he has certain intangibles that others do not that would allow him to help your offense at times.

 

No matter what position "he switches" to, it's not a simple transition. Its a project and what team is really looking to take on a RB project? Running from the QB position is obviously totally different than running from a HB or FB position.

If someone thought he could play another position, he would've been claimed...and with less than 3 hours left to claim him, it's not looking good. Maybe someone wants to save a couple bucks by not paying him a million...but to me his best bet is to play with the Alouttes and try to go the route of Doug Flutie.

Really the only place he could succeed as a "project RB" would be New England. There wouldn't be a QB-controversy in NE, Belichick and Daniels may have the patience to use him at a RB. Beyond that, there's not much.

 

Also, it would be an even bigger project to move him to TE/Hback as is so often brought up, and when you compare him to elite TE's and RB's rather than other QB's, suddenly he's not that amazing of an athlete anymore...so why spend the time and effort developing meh athletic talent when there's so many guys out there that are at least comparable, and already comfortable with the position?

I seem to remember some people making that comparison at the time and at the time I pretty much had the same feeling...maybe not gang raped...just a regular rape.

 

In talent terms...It's hard to argue with that.

 

you guys don't know crap about the game.

Tebow could single-handedly replace all 11 players on EITHER offense or defense (or both) and still find a way to win the game.

He could play all the positions on the field at one time, coach himself, be his own sideline doctor, and be his own waterboy ............ all because of the power of Jesus.

I was thinking the same. MIA or TB, as a TE or RB. Might have had a better chance at the game then.

 

Tebow is like a Mike Alstott or a Peyton Hillis.. Tebow goes to New England and runs all over the Jets.... lol,lol

To be fair, his pass was just a little off. He intented it for the defender behind the guy who intercepted it... or maybe one of the other two in the area.
