The NFL has suspended Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon for the first four games of the 2013 season, ESPN was first to report. Blackmon was in violation of the league's Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. Blackmon has had two arrests for driving under the influence in his past, just last early June, less than two months after being drafted into the league by Jacksonville, the Oklahoma State product faced a DUI back near his old college campus in Stillwater, Okla. In '10, Blackmon, while still playing for OSU, was arrested for DUI and drew a one-game suspension from his then Cowboys coaching staff. Blackmon was the Jaguars' first-round pick (No. 5 overall) in '12. As it stands, without appeal, he will miss all of September, his team's games against Kansas City, Oakland, Seattle and AFC South rival Indianapolis, per the NFL Network, he would be reinstated to play again on Monday, Sept. 30 to play at St. Louis in Week 5. yep, this guy is looking like a major bust ........ of course, he wasn't put in the best situation to succeed.
64 catches for 900 yds in his rookie season with Gabbert/Henne throwing the ball, surrounded by the rest of the Jacksonville supporting cast, is pretty freaking good if you ask me. Hardly "major bust" territory. If he gets and keeps his head straight, he's got a pretty bright future. You been way off your game lately, Cap'n.
Me too man. Maybe we could do a GIF fundraiser and get him in a proper rehab facility. "DONATE A DOLLAR AND 50 CENTS GOES TO CAPTAIN STUBINGS REST AND REHABILITATION FUND"
